Join Geography Victoria and our partners across Australia – The Royal Society of Victoria, The Royal Geographical Association of South Australia, Royal Geographical Society of Queensland, Monash University Press and Wollongong University for a special GeoNight event featuring Associate Professor Sarah Hamylton, a world-leading coastal geographer and mapmaker.
Topic: Plotting the Oceans: Stories of Powerful Maps and their Makers
Drawing on her own global adventures, Associate Professor Hamylton will uncover what lies behind – and beyond – the maps that shape how we see our world.
Discussion and question time will follow, facilitated by Rob Gell AM, President of The Royal Society of Victoria and Patron of Geography Victoria.
Expect a fun, engaging and thought-provoking hour of storytelling and discovery.
