As we approach the end of the financial year, we invite you to support Geography Victoria and help us build a more geographically informed, environmentally aware and globally connected community.

Geography shapes how we understand the world around us. It helps us make sense of environmental change, population movements, urban development, natural hazards, resource management and the complex relationships between people and places. In a rapidly changing world, geographical knowledge and thinking have never been more important.

This year marks a significant milestone for Geography Victoria. We are proud to have recently been granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, recognising the public educational benefit of our work and enabling donations of $2 or more to be tax-deductible. This achievement strengthens our ability to invest in initiatives that benefit learners, educators, communities and the wider public to understand and respond to the challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first century.

We have set achievable targets for the next financial year. Your donation will help Geography Victoria in 2026-2027 to:

• Reward geographical excellence by providing small grants, scholarships, or awards to students and researchers pushing the boundaries of geographical science in Victoria. 
• Support programs that connect people with places, environments and communities.
• Keep our public events affordable and accessible - ensuring people of all ages and backgrounds can participate in our activities.  

Every contribution makes a difference. Whether large or small, your donation will help Geography Victoria continue to inspire learning and promote a deeper understanding of the world we share.
